Office Location and Least Expensive Parking:
The office is located on the twelfth floor of the Flood Building at the junction of Powell Street and Market Street by the Cable Car turnaround and the Powell Street BART station. A GAP store occupies the ground floor of the building.
Parking is available in the O'Farrell-Ellis Municipal Garage which is one block down from Union Square behind Macy's. If you enter on Ellis Street you will be opposite the back door of the Flood Building which is 71, Ellis Street.
Parking costs $2 for the first hour. Valet parking is available at no extra charge on the ground floor of the Ellis side and self lock or valet in the Ellis basement. The 'up' ramp takes you into the O'Farrell floors which can be full until you reach the 7th or 8th floors. Therefore the Ellis ground floor and basement floor levels are recommended for easy in and out access.
Driving Directions from Marin:
Over the Golden Gate Bridge, take the 19th Avenue exit to Geary. Go right [cross Geary and then right back to Geary] and into the city on Geary. At Van Ness the name changes to O'Farrell. Continue into the city on O'Farrell until you get to Powell [and the cable car tracks] go right on Powell one block and left on Ellis. The garage is on your left [after the open parking lot].
Driving Directions from Bay Bridge:
Exit on 5th Street and drive into the city on 5th. Continue for a few blocks and you will cross Market Street. Continue, go next right on Ellis across one intersection and then look for the garage on your left [after the open parking lot]. Alternative Municipal parking is on 5th Street between Howard and Mission one block short of Market Street and there is usually plenty of space on top.
Driving Directions from the South Bay:
From the South Bay exit 101 at Seventh Street and go straight. Go two blocks to 5th street then follow the directions above. From 280 take the Sixth Street exit after you leave the freeway dogleg one block over to 5th Street then follow the directions above.
